Barry O’Donnell
Firm Principal, Head of Conveyancing
Barry is the Firm’s Founder.
Having acted as a general practice solicitor for more than three decades, Barry has extensive experience representing clients across a wide range of legal areas with an emphasis on conveyancing, corporate restructuring, and litigation.
A graduate of the National University of Ireland Galway, Barry was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in the Republic of Ireland in 1994 and later qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland, England, and Wales. Barry worked for several commercial law firms in Dublin before co-founding Houlihan O’Donnell Flaherty Solicitors in 2000. Over 16 fruitful years, Barry gained a sterling reputation as a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable advocate, highly regarded for his personal integrity, and comprehensive legal expertise.
In December 2016, Barry established Barry O’Donnell (BOD) Solicitors.
Barry is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Dublin Solicitors’ Bar Association.

Conor Newman
Department Lead, Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Conor has led the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department since joining Barry O’Donnell (BOD) Solicitors in early 2017.
Operating across a wide variety of disciplines, Conor has acted for clients at every Court level in Ireland. He has a particular expertise in the areas of Employment Law, Construction Law, Personal Injury Claims, Family Law, and Medical Negligence, and he also regularly deals with Conveyancing, Regulatory Compliance, and Assisted Decision-Making matters.
A dual graduate of University College Dublin, Conor holds a Bachelor's of Laws with Politics and International Relations, and a Master's of Common Law. Prior to joining the Firm, Conor was employed with several general practice and commercial law firms in various jurisdictions.
Conor manages the Firm’s Internship Programmes.
